Spring Mobile relocates headquarters

Spring Mobile to Relocate Headquarters to Gateway Tech Center

New location provides GameStop’s growing AT&T wireless business room to expand quickly

SALT LAKE CITY – April 22, 2015 – Spring Mobile, the second largest AT&T wireless retailer in the nation, is moving its headquarters. To help facilitate the rapid growth and expansion of Spring Mobile, the company has leased more than 21,000 square feet of office space in the Gateway Tech Center, located in downtown Salt Lake City, at 155 North 400 West. The company plans to move this summer.

“Spring Mobile is in a stage of development we call hyper-growth,” commented Jason Ellis, Senior Vice President of the Technology Brands segment of Spring Mobile’s parent company GameStop Corporation. “The company will grow as much in a single year as it has in its previous 14 – and that means a bigger space for our Salt Lake City retail support center, and more employees to provide that support.”

The company currently employs more than 1,800 workers throughout 380 stores in 28 states. The company is projected to add approximately 200 more stores and more than 1,000 employees in 2015. The local retail support center, currently headquartered in the Olympus Hills Shopping Center, houses more than 65 employees, and is slated to add another 20 or more employees by the time it makes the move to its new office space.
